Early Retirement of Academic & Research Saudi Faculty

Early Retirement provides employees the option to retire before reaching the official retirement age, recognizing significant service contributions.

Procedure:

  • Submit a request to the department head.
  • Present the matter to relevant councils (department, college, academic).
  • Obtain administrative approval from the university president.
  • Submit the request at least three months before the intended retirement date.
  • Have a minimum of 25 years of service in the public sector.

Normal Retirement of Academic & Research Saudi Faculty

Normal Retirement occurs when an employee reaches the official retirement age, allowing them to conclude their active service.

Procedure:

  • Initiate Normal Retirement through the issuance of an administrative decision by the university president.
  • Become eligible for Normal Retirement when reaching the statutory retirement age of 60 years.

Medical Disability Retirement of Academic & Research Saudi Faculty

Medical Disability Retirement is granted to employees who are unable to continue working due to health reasons.

Procedure:

  • Submit a medical report.
  • Obtain an administrative decision from the university president.
  • Be incapacitated for work due to illness.
