Benefits Package

At KFUPM, we prioritize employee well-being and work-life balance through comprehensive leave options:

  • Annual Leave:
    • Saudi Government Employees: 36 days.
    • Saudi Contract Employees: 30 days.
    • Non-Saudi Employees: 45 days.
    • Carry-over allowed up to 3 years.
  • Sick Leave:
    • Government Employees: Up to 2 years with decreasing salary.
    • Others: 30 days full pay, 60 days at 75%, last 30 days unpaid.
  • Maternity & Childcare Leave:
    • Maternity: 70 days fully paid.
    • Childcare: Up to 3 years at 25% pay.
  • Bereavement Leave:
    • 5 days for immediate family.
    • Female mourning: 130 days (Muslim), 15 days (non-Muslim).
  • Development Leave:
    • Academic Sabbatical: 1 year every 5 years.
    • Research Leave: 1 year every 5 years.
  • Special Leave:
    • Hajj: Up to 15 days once.
    • Marriage: 5 days.
    • Unpaid: Up to 2 years every 5 years.
